The Presto pressure canner/pressure cooker we purchased yesterday has graced our kitchen. We spent a rainy Saturday afternoon canning 10 quarts of beans. We ate 2 - 3 pounds between last night's dinner and today that did not make it to the canner. The Sicilian style roasted vegetable recipe is a winner winner grean bean dinner, but needs less orange juice and zest. Next time I will reduce the amount of orange juice and orange zest so it won't be as sweet. It was definitley too sweet with the Brennan's Viognier.
I also harvested the rest of my carrots. This was my first time to grow carrots. They are extremely easy and productive. Basically, just plant the seeds and keep them watered and in few months you will have load of carrots. The kids love them too.
